Blink-182 is an American rock band formed in Poway, California, in 1998. The band's classic lineup featured bassist and vocalist Mark Hoppus, guitarist and vocalist Tom DeLonge, and drummer Travis Barker. Known for their energetic live shows, humor, and blend of pop melodies with punk rock aggression, Blink-182 became one of the most popular and influential bands in the pop-punk genre. Their music often explores themes of adolescence, relationships, and suburban life.

Formed by Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and drummer Scott Raynor (later replaced by Travis Barker in 1998), the band rose to prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Their breakthrough came with the release of their third album, "Enema of the State" (1999), which spawned hit singles like "What's My Age Again?", "All the Small Things", and "Adam's Song". This album achieved multi-platinum status and cemented their place in mainstream music.

Following up on their success, Blink-182 released "Take Off Your Pants and Jacket" (2001), which also performed well commercially, featuring singles such as "The Rock Show" and "First Date". Their self-titled album "Blink-182" (2003) showcased a more experimental and mature sound, incorporating influences from alternative rock and post-hardcore, and included hits like "I Miss You" and "Feeling This".

The band experienced internal turmoil and hiatuses throughout their career. Tom DeLonge departed the band in 2015, and was replaced by Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio. With Skiba, the band released "California" (2016) and "Nine" (2019). However, DeLonge rejoined the band in 2022, leading to a highly anticipated reunion and a new single, "Edging", followed by the album "One More Time..." in 2023, marking a return to their original lineup and core sound.

Blink-182's musical style is characterized by fast tempos, catchy guitar riffs, and often humorous or relatable lyrics. They have been cited as a major influence on subsequent generations of pop-punk and alternative rock bands.
