Damon Albarn is a highly influential and prolific English musician, singer-songwriter, and record producer, best known as the frontman of the Britpop band Blur and as the primary creative force behind the virtual band Gorillaz.

Albarn's career began in the late 1980s with the formation of Blur. The band rose to prominence in the 1990s during the Britpop era, releasing a string of successful albums such as "Parklife" (1994), "The Great Escape" (1995), and "Blur" (1997). Their music, characterized by its clever lyricism, melodic hooks, and evolution through various genres from indie pop to more experimental rock, earned them critical acclaim and massive commercial success. Damon and Zane wind down by discussing his experience at Coachella 2022 with Billie Eilish, new music, and collaborating with the likes of Bad Bunny, Stevie Nicks, and Tame Impala.

About Blur: 
Blur were formed in 1989 by Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree and signed with Food/EMI the same year. Announcing their arrival with debut album Leisure in 1991, Blur continued to revolutionise the sound of English popular music with second release Modern Life Is Rubbish (1993).
