Keith Duffy is an Irish singer and television personality who first rose to global fame as a member of the chart-topping boy band Boyzone. Formed in 1993 by manager Louis Walsh, the group became one of the most successful musical acts of the 1990s, securing six UK number-one singles and four number-one albums. While Ronan Keating and Stephen Gately handled the majority of the lead vocals, Duffy was a vital part of the group's massive commercial appeal and high-energy stage presence. During the height of "Boyzone-mania," he became a household name across Ireland and the United Kingdom, known for his charismatic personality and role in hits like "Words" and "No Matter What."After Boyzone initially disbanded in 2000, Duffy successfully transitioned into a career in acting and broadcasting. He is most widely recognised for his long-running role as Ciaran McCarthy on the iconic British soap opera Coronation Street, which he played across several stints between 2002 and 2011. His performance earned him critical praise and solidified his status as a versatile entertainer beyond the music industry. In addition to his acting work, he has remained a fixture on reality television, appearing on Celebrity Big Brother and Splash!, and has spent decades as a prominent advocate and fundraiser for autism awareness, inspired by his daughter’s diagnosis. In more recent years, Duffy has returned to his musical roots while continuing to evolve his public brand. Following Boyzone's final "Thank You & Goodnight" farewell tour in 2019, he teamed up with Brian McFadden of Westlife to form the duo Boyzlife. The pair tours extensively, performing a combined catalogue of hits from both legendary bands to sold-out audiences worldwide. Today, he remains one of Ireland's most beloved celebrities, balancing his busy touring schedule with charity work and occasional acting projects, maintaining a career that has spanned over three decades.
