Legendary Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has officially expanded his 2026 solo itinerary, adding highly anticipated headline dates in the UK and Germany due to overwhelming fan demand. Following the rapid sell-out of his two-night residency at the iconic Paradiso in Amsterdam this coming September, Wood confirmed he will also take the stage at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town on August 21 and E-Werk in Cologne on September 3. These intimate performances, which feature the powerhouse vocals of Imelda May, offer a rare opportunity to see the rock icon in a club setting. Tickets for these newly added shows are scheduled to go on general sale this Friday, April 24, at 10:00 AM local time.
Beyond his solo ventures, Wood remains a driving force behind a major resurgence for The Rolling Stones. The band recently surprised the music world by releasing a limited-edition, vinyl-only "white label" single titled "Rough and Twisted" under their historic pseudonym, The Cockroaches. This gritty blues-rock track serves as the lead preview for their upcoming studio album, Foreign Tongues, which is slated for a July 10, 2026, release. Produced by the prolific Andrew Watt, the new project marks the band's first full-length effort since their 2023 Grammy-winning hit, Hackney Diamonds, and early reports suggest they already have a significant head start on a follow-up record with at least ten more songs written.
Despite this creative momentum, fans hoping for a massive stadium run will have to wait, as the band has officially shelved plans for a 2026 European tour. Keith Richards, who recently turned 82, expressed concerns about committing to the rigorous demands of a four-month stadium schedule, particularly while managing ongoing challenges with arthritis. While the Stones' 2024 North American tour was a massive commercial success, the group is prioritizing studio work for the time being. In the interim, Ronnie Wood will keep his live presence strong by supporting Eric Clapton at the Sandringham Estate this summer alongside his own solo dates.
